MARK 3 Roller/Tray Kit
The MARK 3 Die-Cutting Machine requires periodic replacement of the roller and die tray. These items last about one year with average use. With heavy use, they may need to be replaced more often. You will know the die tray needs to be replaced when it does not lay flat on a table, if tray center bows in either direction or when you are not able to cut as many layers as expected. You may even hear a “popping” noise when cutting. The roller wears down with use and needs to be replaced when the roller turns white and cutting performance is diminished.
Replacement Instructions
Step 1
Facing the back of the machine, remove the roller
safety guard and set aside. The MARK 3 has a
plastic safety guard.
Step 2
Still facing the back of the machine (the side WITHOUT the handle), remove the two screws then take off and set aside the cover plate. The MARK 3 Machine has easy-to-remove screws that are removable by hand.
Step 3
Pull out the roller and discard it. You will know it’s
time to change the roller when it turns white or gray.
Step 4
Find the end of the roller with the open hole and slide that end into the machine first. Rotate roller until it locks into place and the handle turns with the roller.
Step 5
Replace cover plate, screws and safety guard.
Warning: Safety guard must be in place during operation. Keep hands and fingers clear of roller
or serious bodily injury can occur.
